Hello tiny community of blog followers! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted on The Gastronomic Ju, which you will now see has changed its identity to The Upper East Side Cookie Co. I’m sure you’re wondering what this is all about…. well, say hello to your favorite Upper East Side blogger’s (I literally sound like Gossip Girl haha) newly formed side hustle, The Upper East Side Cookie Co.!

This little project has been a hobby/passion of mine for years, ever since I was a little girl, really. I’ve always loved cooking (obviously) and fell in love with cooking first by baking when I was very young. Although I would decorate cookies at an amateur level, since my middle school and high school years, my cookie decorating talents have evolved to much more advanced techniques, yielding beautiful designs and whimsical characters that are almost too cute to eat (after you taste your first UES Cookie Co. creation though, I promise there will be little to no mercy left)!

Since I’ve always had this passion/hobby (cookie decorating is SO therapeutic… even watching videos of royal icing perfectly coating a cookie seamlessly and beautifully is so incredibly mesmerizing – click here if you don’t believe me), I decided to bring all my cookie equipment to my little Upper East Side apartment and set up shop here!

I know you’re anxiously wondering what will ever happen to the core of The Gastronomic Ju site?!?!?! As the founder and CEO of both The Gastronomic Ju and The Upper East Side Cookie Co., I’m here to tell you not to worry!! I still intend to post my favorite recipes, etc. on here and on my thegastronomicju Instagram; however, there will just be a lot more focus on cookies now. If anything, this is BETTER because there will be even more content! It’s basically everything that previously existed PLUS cute cookies, cookie decorating videos, cookie tips/how-tos, cookie recipes, and opportunities for you yourself to make your very own Upper East Side Cookie Co. purchase!
